饺子飘香,情暖冬至——我院成功举办留学生冬至文化体验活动

为传承中华优秀传统文化,让留学生们感受节日氛围与校园温情,12月20日,国际教育学院精心举办“饺子飘香,情暖冬至”留学生冬至体验日活动。国际教育学院院长郑晓航、书记王晓龙及学院部分教师和学生志愿者与来自10余个国家的学子齐聚一堂,在揉面、包馅、品尝的欢声笑语中,深度触摸中华传统节日的文化脉络,共赴一场兼具烟火气与文化味的团圆之约。

To inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture and let international students feel the festive atmosphere and campus warmth, the School of International Education meticulously organized the "Dumplings Fragrance & Winter Solstice Warmth" International StudentsWinter Solstice Experience Day on December 20.  Zheng Xiaohang, Dean of the School of International Education, Wang Xiaolong, Secretary of the Party General Branch, together with some faculty members and student volunteers of the school, gathered with students from more than 10 countries. Amid the joy and laughter of kneading dough, wrapping fillings and tasting dumplings, the participants deeply felt the cultural connotation of Chinas traditional festival and shared a warm, culture-rich reunion feast filled with the cozy charm of daily life.

活动首先从文化讲解开始。辅导员任梦阳老师通过图文并茂的讲解,向留学生们介绍了冬至作为中国重要传统节气的天文意义与文化内涵,讲述了“冬至大如年”的俗语渊源以及饺子等节令食物的历史故事。留学生们听得津津有味,对中国古人的时间智慧与饮食文化表现出浓厚兴趣。

The event kicked off with a cultural briefing. Counselor Ren Mengyang gave an illustrated talk, introducing international students to the astronomical significance and cultural connotations of the Winter Solstice as a major traditional Chinese solar term. She also elaborated on the origin of the folk saying "The Winter Solstice is as important as the Spring Festival" and shared the historical stories behind dumplings and other seasonal foods. The international students listened with great interest, showing profound curiosity about the ancient Chinese wisdom of timekeeping and culinary culture.

随后进入轻松热闹的实践环节。在老师和志愿者的细心指导下,留学生们动手尝试包饺子。从擀皮、放馅到捏边,大家互相交流、协力合作,现场笑声阵阵、暖意融融。尽管饺子的形态各异,但每一个都承载着亲手制作的喜悦。当热气腾腾的饺子出锅时,大家品尝着自己的劳动成果,感受着舌尖上的中国味道与跨越国界的温暖情谊。

Then came the relaxed and lively hands-on session. Under the careful guidance of teachers and student volunteers, international students rolled up their sleeves to try making dumplings themselves. From rolling dough into wrappers, placing fillings to pinching the edges, they chatted and collaborated with each other, filling the air with constant laughter and heartwarming vibes.  Though the dumplings turned out in various shapes and sizes, each one embodied the joy of handmade creation. When the steaming-hot dumplings were served, everyone savored the fruits of their labor, relishing the authentic Chinese flavors on their tongues and the warm friendship that transcended national borders.

此次活动是一场跨越国界的冬日之约,温暖与文化交织,不仅加深了中外友谊,让留学生们在寒冷的冬天感受到节日的温暖与学校的关怀,更促进了传统文化建设与中外文化交流,推动了中华优秀传统文化的传播。未来,我院将继续开展各种形式的传统文化体验活动,搭建文化交流的平台,弘扬中华优秀传统文化。

This event was a cross-border winter rendezvous where warmth intertwined with culture. It not only deepened the friendship between Chinese and international students, allowing the international students to feel the festive warmth and the university’s care in the cold winter, but also boosted the development of traditional culture, facilitated cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and promoted the dissemination of excellent traditional Chinese culture.  In the future, our school will continue to organize various forms of traditional culture experience activities, build platforms for cultural exchanges, and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
