5月28日，“古今对话——当传统智慧遇见现代科技” 主题口语沙龙在建工南楼205热闹开启。

On May 28th, the oral salon with the theme of "Dialogue between Ancient and Modern Times - When Traditional Wisdom Meets Modern Technology" kicked off vibrantly in Room 205 of Jian Gong South Building.

活动以创意视频《当古代先贤遇上现代科技》震撼启幕，镜头里的跨时空对话令人惊叹——屈原凝视着以其《天问》诗篇命名的“天问一号”火星探测器划破苍穹，徐霞客惊叹于300年后中国高铁如风驰电掣般穿越山河，郦道元俯瞰着气势恢宏的三峡工程截断巫山云雨。这些跨越千年的文明同框，如同一幅激荡古今的瑰丽长卷，在中外学生心中激起层层涟漪，引发了关于“传统与现代如何共生”的深度思考与热烈讨论。

The event commenced with an innovative short film 'When Ancient Sages Meet Modern Technology', featuring imagined dialogues across millennia: Qu Yuan gazing at the Mars probe named after his poetic work 'Heavenly Questions', Xu Xiake astonished by China's bullet trains traversing landscapes he once documented, and Li Daoyuan witnessing the Three Gorges Dam taming the Yangtze's torrents. These cinematic juxtapositions of ancient wisdom and modern achievements sparked profound reflections among attendees on the symbiosis of tradition and innovation.

沙龙互动环节“中外字谜挑战赛”成为焦点。四个小组以独特的创意为自己命名：寓意文化传承的“冉起之星”、象征文明相遇的“美好的遇见”、致敬先贤的“你好！屈原”，以及彰显民族底蕴的“炎黄”。各组围绕PPT上的中英文谜题展开激烈角逐。从“十张口一颗心”（思）的汉字部件拆解，到“Queue去掉四个字母发音保持不变”的英语词源趣味，中外学生分组协作，现场笑声不断，思维火花频现。外国学生在拆解“口”“心”“人”“门”等部件中，直观感受汉字的造字逻辑；英文谜语则让中国学生体验到英语词源与双关的趣味。

The interactive session of the salon, the "Chinese-foreign Riddle Challenge", became the focus. Four groups named themselves with unique creativity: "Ranqi Star" implying cultural inheritance, "Beautiful Encounter" symbolizing the meeting of civilizations, "Hello! Qu Yuan" paying tribute to the sages, and "Yanhuang" demonstrating national heritage. Each group engaged in friendly competition through bilingual riddles on the PPT. From the deconstruction of Chinese character components like "十口一心 = 思 (thought)" → "Ten 'mouths' (口) + one 'heart' (心) form 'Si' (思, thought)" to the fun of English etymology in "What remains 'Q' when you remove four letters from 'Queue'?", Chinese and foreign students collaborated in groups, with constant laughter and frequent sparks of thinking on site. Foreign students intuitively felt the logic of Chinese character creation through disassembling components such as "mouth", "heart", "person", and "door"; English riddles allowed Chinese students to experience the fun of English etymology and puns.

互动结束后，活动迎来颁奖环节。“美好的遇见”与“炎黄”两个小组凭借默契的配合和精彩的解谜表现脱颖而出，斩获象征文化纽带的中国结。颁奖现场，一幕温馨场景令人动容：一位小朋友接过中国结后，转身将这份充满东方美学的礼物赠予同组的外国学生。鲜艳的中国结在两人手中轻轻传递，如同一束跨越国界的友谊之花，悄然绽放出文化共融的温暖底色。

After the interaction, the event entered the award ceremony. The two groups "Beautiful Encounter" and "Yanhuang" stood out with their tacit cooperation and wonderful riddle-solving performance, winning Chinese knots symbolizing cultural bonds. At the award ceremony, a warm scene moved people: after a child received the Chinese knot, he turned around and gave this gift full of Oriental aesthetics to the foreign student in the same group. The crimson Chinese knot passed between their hands, like a flower of friendship across national borders, quietly blooming the warm background color of cultural integration.

This salon full of fun and warmth is not only a collision field of language wisdom but also a bridge of mutual learning among civilizations.
